Do you want to hear the secret to killer customer service? I thought you would, this isn’t really a secret, it’s all very simple. It seems that it is always the simple things that we have trouble with.
This past weekend I stayed at a hotel, as I was leaving the desk clerk handed me a survey. She said, “can you fill this out” “were having a contest”. Can you guess what I did with that survey, yeah, right in the round file.
Whats the lesson here? As I promised, it’s very simple. Good customer service is, here comes the big secret. Its about the customers interest, not yours. Told you it was simple, no revelation here.
If I was a betting man I would say that she didn’t win that contest. The person that wins, is the one that takes care of the customer, simple as that.
